STORY SPEEDMEMORY
> "My starting point came from the words 'not for sale.' So, I had this crazy idea to just build it myself.
Rewinding to the days before July 8, 2025—back when I was driving a Lancer EX (with a 4B11 NA engine)—I was turning the world upside down trying to find a direct-fit Air Duct for my car. No matter how hard I looked, I found absolutely nothing. It got to the point where I even messaged car enthusiasts abroad, but everyone just shook their heads and said it didn’t exist. Since nobody was making it... a crazy thought popped into my head that day: "Fine, I’ll just make it myself!"
That was the birth of the brand Speedmemory, armed with an initial budget of just 10,000 Baht in my pocket and a fierce determination to create top-quality performance parts for cars in the 4B11 and 4B11T engine families.
The first product I challenged myself with was, of course, the Air Duct and Intake system that I could never find in the market. Every gearhead knows that the airflow system in these engines is incredibly sensitive to sensors and wind direction. Since my budget was tight, the only way to prototype was to put everything on the line. I tore down my own Lancer EX and a close friend's Lancer Ralliart (RA) with a 4B11T turbo engine. We literally drilled into the front ends of our cars just to reverse-engineer the formula and find the perfect fitment.
But reality was harsher than I expected. The early versions didn't fit at all. I was completely buried in endless cycles of experimenting, researching, and redesigning until that 10,000 Baht budget was entirely drained! At that point, the brand had zero revenue coming in. The money was gone, the product wasn't finished, and I had no other valuable assets left...
But I refused to quit! Since my heart was already all-in, I decided to make a painful sacrifice: I stripped the aftermarket parts off my own car and posted them for sale just to get the cash to keep funding the brand. Anyone who loves cars knows how heartbreaking it is to force yourself to sell your prized possessions for a future you can’t even see yet. But driven by pure madness and sheer stubbornness, I kept pushing forward—innovating, fixing, and rebuilding. I focused on every single detail for both the NA and turbo cars.
Finally, the product that cost me blood, sweat, and every penny I had was complete. It was an Air Duct with perfect fitment and optimized airflow, which eventually expanded to support the Evo X family.
And then, something incredibly ironic but deeply satisfying happened... That very part I had once messaged foreigners about—the one they said didn't exist—caught the eyes of car enthusiasts abroad once it was finished. The foreigners actually reached out to order it, and it was successfully exported worldwide.
To be completely honest with you, today I might not have sold countless units yet... The sales volume might not be massive. But today, my goal goes far beyond money. What I want most is for people to remember that once upon a time, there was a Mitsubishi Evo X and Ralliart tuning shop named "Speedmemory"—a 100% Thai brand born out of love, madness, and a refusal to ever give up.
From a completely drained 10,000 Baht budget, to selling my own car parts just to keep the dream alive, to overcoming failure and finally sending Thai-made craftsmanship to the global stage—I, Phairat, as the Founder, want to thank everyone who believed in us and joined this journey with Speedmemory.
I’ve taken all the hits and embraced all the pain so that we can truly live up to the name "Speed" and remain in everyone's "Memory" forever. Please show some love and support for this Thai brand!
